Whether you are missing a tooth, several teeth, or all of your teeth, it is common to feel a little self-conscious about your appearance. Looking beyond the aesthetics, we know that missing teeth can have a dramatic impact on your speech and overall dental health.

At Hoorfar Dental Group, we want you to have the best smile you possible and offer denture services to . Our denture types include full or partial dentures. Each option is entirely removable and allow you to maintain them with ease.

Do Removable Dentures Stay In Place?

Full dentures do stay in place by having at least two implants on the bottom jaw and four implants on the top jaw. These implants secure the position of the dentures and allow the patient to easily remove them whenever necessary.

Partial dentures are secured by using the teeth around them to hold them in place with an archwire. These also provide ease with removal, but also, stability for chewing and eating.

Do You Feel Any Pain With Dentures?

Typically, dentures do not hurt or cause any pain. In fact, dentures yield great benefits for patients by improving their lifestyle as opposed to a lack of teeth. These benefits include eating, speaking, and boosting an individual’s self-esteem, which can all have a dramatic effect on the overall health of a patient.

Also, it is common for patients to experience a transitional period where they are getting accustomed to their new teeth and may have initial difficulty in speaking or eating. Nevertheless, we ensure that all of our patients have a smooth transition process with frequent check-ups.

How Soon Can I Get Dentures?

We provide immediate dentures for those who want a quick fix; however, these are meant to only hold you over until your well-fitted permanent dentures come in.  Upon teeth removal, immediate dentures will be made until healing is complete—it’s important to note that these likely will not be as comfortable as permanent dentures.  Once the patient’s mouth has healed from teeth removal, permanent dentures can be formed. These will be much more comfortable than the immediate dentures.
