Mersad Hoorfar, D.M.D.

drHoorfar_new.jpgA native of Iran, Dr. Mersad Hoorfar has been providing the highest quality dental care for 20 years. At the age of 9, his family moved to England, where he grew up. Dr. Hoorfar completed his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, from Queen Mary College, University of London in 1987. He then spent three years running the family restaurant business in north England, where he developed his passion for cooking.

Dr. Hoorfar moved to the United States in 1989, and in 1995, he obtained his dental degree at Temple University. In 1996, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and continuing education that focused on implant dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Hoorfar opened his first practice in Exton in 1997 and went on to open or purchase several other practices.  He continues his involvement at Temple University by teaching as an adjust Professor at the Kornberg School of Dentistry. 

Dr. Hoorfar is a member of the American Dental Association. While he enjoys all facets of dentistry, he has continued his education over the years and now focuses on placing implants and helping patients regain their confidence by giving them a smile they can be proud of.

In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, cooking, skiing, playing tennis and attending live concerts of 80’s and 90’s British bands. He is also a huge Phillies fan and an avid Eagles fan.

Barry Isdaner, D.D.S.

Dr. IsdanerDr. Barry Isdaner was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After attending public school and graduating from Overbrook High School, Dr. Isdaner attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Following graduation from Penn State, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in just three and a half years with honors, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Isdaner then served two years as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps providing general dentistry to U.S. soldiers at Reynolds Army Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, many of which were on their way to combat duty in Vietnam.

In 1975, Dr. Isdaner entered into private practice with his partner, Dr. Martin Oberman, who he met while serving at Fort Sill. They opened their Willow Grove office in 1975, and 10 years later, they opened a second office in Spring House, Pennsylvania. They had been partners for over 30 years until Dr. Mersad Hoorfar bought the practice.

Dr. Isdaner provides comprehensive dental care for the entire family. He especially enjoys all forms of cosmetic dentistry, implants, root canals along with Invisalign clear aligner therapy. Recently, over the past few years, he has helped patients with sleep apnea and social snoring problems through oral appliance therapy.

Dr. Isdaner really enjoys dentistry and always tells patients who ask that “he will never retire, he enjoys dentistry too much.” He searches out and attends continuing education seminars constantly. Dr. Isdaner believes strongly that in order to remain current with the latest technologies and advancements in dentistry, it is crucial to stay current and informed and strive to provide the highest quality dentistry with continuous dental education. Dr. Isdaner is also a Healthcare Provider CPR certified.

Dr. Isdaner has been a dedicated husband for more than 40 years to his wife, Marsha; a devoted father to their two daughters, Stephanie and Amy; father-in-law to his two sons-in-law, Jim and Latham; and a proud grandfather to their three, wonderful grandsons, Teddy, Shane and Logan. He also loves his dog, George, and cat, Stoly.

Dr. Isdaner has many interests outside of dentistry. He enjoys skiing, travel, and he loves to write. He has been and continues to be very involved in charitable work, both in the community and with numerous non-profit organizations.

Dr. Rebecca Perschon

Dr. PerschonDr. Rebecca Perschon received her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Maryland. Upon graduation she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, an honorary society. Following graduation, she attended Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. After graduation, she relocated to Maryland and practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, gaining invaluable experience. She recently joined the Hoorfar Dental Group in the spring of 2015 upon moving back to the Philadelphia suburbs, where she warmly welcomes new patients.

As a result of Dr. Perschon's commitment to her profession, she stays current with the latest advancements in dentistry. She takes a wide range of continuing education courses to ensure the highest quality of care to her patients. She values the relationships she develops with her patients and practices with a strong emphasis on education and prevention of dental disease. Outside of practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, tennis, skiing and going to concerts.

Dr. Tauseef Mutwahir, BDS, DMD, MPH

Dr Tauseef MutwahirBorn and raised in Peshawar, Pakistan, Dr. Tauseef spent the early part of his childhood playing cricket, hanging out with his siblings and generally getting up to no good. He developed a love of dentistry from working at his mother's orthodontic practice. He graduated with honors from Khyber College of Dentistry in 2006 and practiced for 4 years before relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee. He worked his way through a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Tennessee. He got accepted to the Advanced standing dental program at Temple University in 2013 and completed the grueling 3 year program, obtaining his DMD degree in 2016. He loves to talk to his patients and strives to practice dentistry in a caring, compassionate way. Dr. Tauseef's philosophy of dentistry is patient centered comprehensive care where the patient always comes first. He loves cars and all things mechanical, his ambition being to make a house where everything is controlled by his voice, just like in Star Trek. In his spare time Dr. Tauseef loves spending time with his 2 yr old daughter and eating out with his loved ones.
